Under the supervision of the Galley Manager, our Food Service Supervisors perform assigned duties and responsibilities of the Galley, Scullery, Kitchen, Store Rooms and Dining Room. Assists the Galley Manager in carrying out prescribed job responsibilities and duties. Responsible for overall operation of the dining facility in the absence of the Galley Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Ensures the assigned meal is properly prepared and served in accordance to all contract requirements.
2. Inspect all work areas prior to the beginning of the meal, during the meal, and prior to securing at the end of each shift. Ensures all dining areas, galley, equipment and utensils are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times by visually inspecting each area.
3. Train and supervise new hires.
4. Train and supervise assigned employees in all areas of food service. manner.
5. Prepare the daily work assignment for all employees.
6. Completes all required documents and forms accurately in a timely
7. Must be capable of managing an hourly work force between 20 and 100 employees, ensuring the continuous, effective operations of a large dining facility.
8. Promote Goodwill to the customer as required to enhance its public image and to obtain support for the achievement of our mission related activities.
