Account Supervisor - Linen

Location: Milwaukee

Description: Our Laundry Account Supervisor represents Goodwill Industries of SE WI with respect to the promotion, sales, and service of various Goodwill products. This environment requires the incumbent be able to deal with the technical aspects of our products, define and structure solutions to the account’s technical and service needs and propose solutions that are mutually beneficial to Goodwill and the customer. The incumbent will be exposed to a variety of industries and is expected to be knowledgeable enough to handle effectively most situations encountered.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s license.
• High school graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years' experience in linen services or related area, preferably in a hospital or commercial setting. Advanced education may be substituted for experience.
• Previous supervisor or lead person experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Lead Laundry Supervisor

Location: Milwaukee
Hours: Second Shift

Description: Supervises all non-exempt Laundry personnel in efficiently providing high quality, processed linens to meet the needs to Goodwill's external customers. Utilizes assigned personnel, equipment, and supplies to maintain a low cost, efficient operation.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school graduate or equivalent required.

Lead Laundry Worker

Location: Milwaukee
Hours: 1st shift, shift includes weekend rotations.

Description: The Lead Worker-Laundry performs tasks done by utility classifications and gives training and direction to these positions. Serves as a resource for production workers. Acts in a supervisory role in the absence of the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Previous laundry or production experience.

CORE COMPETENCIES:
1. Demonstrated work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with differing abilities. 
2. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
3. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs of customers and plan operations.
4. Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:
1. Must be able to stand or be stationary for eight or more hours.
2. Ability to lift 40 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing 500 pounds.
3. Must have good hand dexterity to sort, fold, and operate power equipment on a continuous basis.
4. Must be able to observe product and linen appearance so that specific standards are met.
5. Ability to work in a hot and humid environment. Protective equipment may be required.
6. Perform tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue.

Maintenance Mechanic Assistant in Laundry

Location: Milwaukee
Hours: 2nd Shift Opening: 2:00PM- 10:30PM

Description: Under the direction of the Director - Linen Services and assisting the maintenance team, performs major cleaning of all equipment and assists in a variety of tasks related to the laundry maintenance area.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. One year experience in an industrial setting.
3. Driver’s license preferred.
4. Technical classes or degree.

Supervisor–Foster Grandparent Program

Location: 1630 enterprise Dr. Sturtevant, WI

Hours: Slightly Flexible Schedule (40Hrs per week)

Description:  Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination and supervision of the Foster Grandparent Program.

Work Environment: This position offers excellent work/life balance with some schedule flexibility. Work hours are during the school day with no nights or weekends required. The individual will spend much of their day in the community visiting schools and engaging with local organizations to promote the program. (40Hrs per Week)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and two years’ experience in related field.
  • Experience working with elderly persons.
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license.
